Faythelma Bechtel, along with her husband Wilmer Bechtel, formed the Bechtel family from Oregon. Together, they raised a total of nine children, including four biological children and five adopted children. Additionally, they provided foster care for over 25 children.

Around 1968, Faythelma began her writing career, contributing to magazines and Sunday school papers. Some of the books she authored include "God's Marvelous Gifts," "School Days Devotional Praise," "Sharpen Up," "I Will Pass Over You," and "Speedy Spanish."

The Bechtel family has actively participated in homeschooling conventions on the west coast for over 20 years, representing C.L.P. (Christian Light Publications). They responded to the demand for an elementary Spanish course and developed "Speedy Spanish," involving their children in its creation and production. They operate Bechtel Books as a family business, aiming to serve their customers for the glory of God. In addition to "Speedy Spanish," they have created other valuable resources like "Christian Ethics for Youth," and "Creative Touch," which are widely appreciated by homeschooling families and Christian day schools.

Bechtel Books, which has been in business for 30 years, offers a range of products, including Spanish courses with Bible content, books, study aids, and more. They prioritize promoting books that foster Christian character development and encourage spiritual growth. If one seeks a Bible study course applicable to everyday life, one can explore "Christian Ethics for Youth."

The Bechtel family, known as the Wilmer Bechtel Family, serves others through their business, embodying their dedication to God's service.
